I have recently installed the buddypress plugin to my wordpress website called gezinim.com I need help with the visual layout and more… thanks a lot.

what exactly seems to be the problem? We don’t have a lot to go on with “I need help with the visual layout and more…”

if you check out my website, you will notice the gray line that needs to be under the first menu is now on top of the first menu because buddypress plugin added another menu bar at the top of the page.

Plugin has a compatibility menu under control panel, however i am not sure about how to solve the issue.

If BuddyPress pages are not aligned correctly, then you will need to modify some of the templates to match your theme’s HTML structure. The best way to do this is to FTP to your theme’s files at:

Then open up the page.php file (if this does not exist use index.php). Make note of the HTML template structure of the file, specifically the <div> tags that surround the content and sidebar.

You will need to change the HTML structure in the BuddyPress templates that you copied into your theme to match the structure in your page.php or index.php file. The files that you need to edit are as follows (leave out any folders you have not copied over in step two):

Once you are done matching up the HTML structure of your theme in these template files, please take another look through your site. You should find that BuddyPress pages now fit inside the content structure of your theme.

We can’t support BuddyPress because Newscast isn’t BP ready. We reported it as a feature request to Kriesi some time ago but the demand is low. Integrating BuddyPress is a time intensive task and it’s not part of our support service.

so, is it impossible for newscast to work with buddypress or should i spend some more time on it to see how it goes?

No – you can integrate & use BuddyPress with Newscast. Newscast works with BuddyPress but it doesn’t offer any templates, css code, etc. which are required for the BuddyPress usage. With php, css & html coding skills it’s for sure possible and with some hours of work and caffeine.

i see, since this is out of scope, would you suggest me anyone who could give me professional help on this issue (some hours of work and caffeine) then?

You can hire someone here: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/so-you-know-how-to-customize-a-template-and-want-to-make-some-money/24795?page=15 or I can help you to integrate buddypress. Please send me an email to: (Email address hidden if logged out) and I’ll make a quote.

i did not understand how to hire someone from the link but i sent you an email…

    I sent you a mail :)
