    Hey,

    this is not (easily) possible because Newscast offers a fullwidth layout only and you can’t style the background without affecting the content area background too.

    Hello Dude,

    There’s any other option?

    Changing the fullwidth color for a full width Image? I belive an image like so would solve it?

    What do you think?

    Thanks

    You can try to create a boxed version by creating a different bg image. First you need to remove the standard bg image from the body and add it to headwrap. Open up style1.css and replace:

    #headwrap{
    border-bottom:1px solid #aaa;
    }

    with:

    #headwrap{
    background: #fff url(../images/skin1/bg.png) repeat-x 0 0;
    border-bottom:1px solid #aaa;
    }

    Then change:

    body{
    background: #fff url(../images/skin1/bg.png) repeat-x 0 0;
    color:#666;
    }

    to:

    body{
    background: #fff url(../images/skin1/bg_custom.jpg) fixed no-repeat top center;
    color:#666;
    }

    At least create an image like: http://www.kriesi.at/demos/newscast/modern/images/skin4/bg.jpg (with centered white content area and your bg color around it) and save/upload it as bg_custom.jpg (images/skin1/bg_custom.jpg).

    It looks like a boxed theme now (actually it’s not of course).
