Bit of an odd question for an ecommerce template, but I need it so the purchase, shopping cart and other ecommerce functions are removed away from the theme. All the products on the site will be buy in store only. I kind of need to function as a catalog of products as oppose to a shop.

I was just wondering how possible this would be? Or how hard it will be?

Thanks a lot for your time, Joel.

you can use Abundance without WooCommerce – that’s no problem and no additional hacks, etc. are required. However if you’d like to use woocommerce like a showcase plugin you’ll have a hard time because it doesn’t offer such a feature. You can use themes like Propulsion: – it offers a portfolio post type too which can be used as “showcase” post type.

If were to use the abundance theme without WooCommerce would I still be able to add products in the same way? would it just look like the same?Product pages but without the purchase buttons and the shopping cart and checkout parts? Or would I have to remove them manually?

    Thanks for your time,

No because the woocommerce plugin create the product post type, etc. – you won’t be able to add product pages, etc. without woocommerce.

Similar question. But I want all the cart features except the actual transfer of money. All we need is the order to be sent. Possible? IE, no gateway, but keep the cart (maybe rename to orderdesk?)

As far as I know the upcoming woocommerce update introduces a “local pickup” option. However I’m not sure if this will do what you want.
