Today I purchased the enfold theme and am trying to install it on WP 4.2.1.

Before installing I have cleared all caches and de-activated all plugins.

When loading using the wordpress Theme load page I keep getting a “Are you sure you want to do this message”

I then reverted to an ftp load of the enfold [unzipped folder] directly to the wp-content\themes directory. it shows the theme in the themes but with no graphics / text. I have left it there for you to look at using the supplied credentials.

    Hi lee_bourke!

Go ahead and delete it, it wasn’t showing any version information or anything so that is weird.

Deactivate all of your plugins and then login to your themeforest account and download the “WordPress install only” version of Enfold from your downloads page and then upload that in Dashboard > Themes > Add New.

    Regards,
    Elliott

    Hi Elliot,

I have tried using that version as well as the Enfold.zip from the full download and neither work. All plugins were disabled when I did it.

Since yesterday I have created a brand new clean WordPress site [on IIS] and the very first thing I have tried to do is load this theme and I am getting the same problem. Neither method will work. Obviosuly the new site has no plugins at all.

    Help.

    Thank

    SOLVED…

I just found the issue. When the files are downloaded they are zipped and the ‘enfold’ theme folder is stored encrypted.

    When you download the .zip you need to make sure you;

    1. Unblock it by right clicking the filename, selecting properties and unblocking it.
    2. Extract it.
    3. Go to the ‘enfold directory’ [it will be green] and right click, select properties, click advanced and turn off the ‘Encrypt contents to secure data’ option. Press ok, ok. [make sure you apply the setting to all sub-folders and directories.]
    4. If using the install by website method you will need to zip the package back up. If using ftp you can just copy that ‘enfold’ folder to your webserver in the wp-content\themes directory.

    Hope that helps others.
