I updated the Enfold theme today and my Frontpage reverted to the Blog.
The control for ‘Frontpage Settings’ will not allow me to change it back to the page I had before (a ‘coming soon’ notice). There is a control for ‘Select Page’, but it appears not to function. Any ideas why that might be and how I could reinstate my desired page?

Can you please give us a link to the website? If I am not mistaken, it is a third party plugin that is causing the issue. Please deactivate all plugins, see if the issue is fixed.

My son sorted out the problem. I had modified the example page ‘Coming Soon’ and – being very new to WordPress, had marked all the other pages private. Apparently, this left the page as a ‘child’ with no valid ‘parent’. That means nothing to me but might make sense to you…! He said I was also having problems with a plugin called ‘Redirect’ which was incorrectly configured and redirecting the home page back to itself in a sort of loop.
I hope this will prove useful in helping people with similar problems in the future.
