can't get portfolio/gallery working

Hello,

I can't get this working, could someone please provide steps?

I have done the following:
1) Made a Page called Portfolio 2) Set that as the page I want the porfolio on, under display options>portfolio options. 3) Enabled the auto image rescale which is on by default 4) tried to enter a URL into the 'full size' image box, as it says to do, and save the page. 5) Ensured the page Portfolio template is set to 'portfolio'

This is where I get stuck, the image wont display if I go to the Portfolio page on here: http://www.decorative-finishes.co.uk/portfolio/

I don't think I am inserting the images correctly? It's not clear how you do this, and how you add multiple images, can someone assist.

Hey Rob,

Make sure the portfolio items you create are marked to be part of the category you have set in the theme options for the portfolio.

If you are still having trouble, create a temporary admin account for me and I'll log in and set up a demo portfolio item for you.

I just created images e.g http://www.decorative-finishes.co.uk/slider1.jpg to slider6.jpg and want them in a gallery on one page. The page is called /portfolio

What should I do exactly to make them show up like a gallery.

Thats correct, you'll need to use Posts to create portfolio items. Then you assign the post to a category (the checkbox categories on the right hand side of the visual editor).

Ok getting there, but it's not showing the images, see http://www.decorative-finishes.co.uk/category/portfolio/

I have 3 on there now, but it's got the silly sidebar on the left and no images/previews.

Any ideas?

It looks like you are viewing the category type and not actually the category page. Do you think you could send me a temporary login? I think were missing something in text :)

I did a quick change for you and have it set up now. You need to have a "Page" to house the portfolio items. So I've created a page called "Portfolio" and then assigned the Portfolio 1 in your theme options to that page.

Hope that clears things up :)
