If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
have a bit of a problem, I am sure it is me, but haven’t been able to figure it out
I created new template which has only “Heading + Breadcrumbs)” and a Blog (filtered by category).
I set Dynamic Template Page Layout to “no side bar”
I created on post, the only one in the category in question
Format = Standard
Layout = “Fullsize (no sidebar)”
But .. I am still seeing the sidebar :-(
Any thoughts ?
You said you assign to a post? I think you should assign to the page Security Alerts.
Sorry .. I missed a step
I have a dynamic template called “Security Alerts”
only “Heading + Breadcrumbs)” and a Blog (filtered by category) and Dynamic Template Page Layout to “no side bar”
I have a page
Blank (no content) and layout = “Security Alerts”
I have one or more posts
assigned to the category I am filtering by
layout = “Security Alerts”
shows side bar
Did you assign the template Security Alerts to the page Security Alerts?
” template Security Alerts to the page Security Alerts?:
When looking at a page, I have two areas where this might come into play
Page Attributes -> Template : Here i can only see “Default Template”, “Archives” and “Post Timeline”
Layout -> “Overwrite default Post Layout”: I did set it to “Security Alerts”
Am I missing something ?
