If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
1.I’m having problems with viewing the output of the categories: On the Frontpage have “Lastes portfolio entries” for several categories and it does not show anything. On the portfolio overview page again, clicking on the categories should select itens by category. But unfortunally most of them do not work. What can I do to solve the problem? 2. If a define the FRONTPAGE as the Home page, How to hide the Title “home”and the breadcrumb?
Thank you, PN
How do you have the portfolio entries being displayed on the frontpage? If its with a widget, the categories have to use the category ID number not the category name.
On the portfolio page, clicking on categories will only show those portfolio items that are currently visible on the page. It isn’t capable of pulling up portfolio items from other pages or doing a live search of the database. So if one of your categories has no entries visible on the page, clicking it won’t make any appear.
For the home page, you define it in the Theme Options. Then you can use a template from the template builder to do the layout how you want and on the page you’ve designated select that template from the Layout meta box.
If you don’t want the breadcrumbs, you just don’t add that element. There should be the Frontpage template already created for you as an example.
