    Hey guys!

    I am putting the finishing touches on my site http://www.chadcahill.com.

    1. I cannot figure out how to remove the “Welcome and Thanks for Installing Avisio” message at the bottom of the homepage. I would like for the bottom of the page to be just under the thumbnails of the slider.

    2. I increased the logo header, but can’t seem to get it centered vertically (I am working on getting a transparent background logo).

    3. Is there a way to increase the top margin around the page? I want to shift the whole thing down just a bit.

    If you have answered these questions in other posts, feel free to direct me there. I have searched high and low and these are the three questions i haven’t been able to find answers for.

    Thank you!!!!

    Hey,

    1.) You have 2 options here, you can set up the front page featured area in the theme options panel which will automatically remove the default text, or if you don’t want to set your theme up like the demo, open up index.php, find and remove this text:

    else
    {
    echo "<h1>Welcome and Thanks for installing Avisio!</h1>";
    echo "It seems you didnt set up your frontpage by now. You can do that in your wordpress backend at Avisio Options &raquo; <a href='".get_option('siteurl')."/wp-admin/options.php?page=mainpage.php' title=''>Mainpage Options</a>";

    2.) Try adding this to the end of style.css – this changes the size of the logo area to match the image size and adds some spacing at the top. Just adjust 10px if you want to move the logo up or down. If you change the size of the logo when you change it to transparent, adjust the height and width:

    #top .logo, .logo a {
    margin:0;
    height:70px; width:260px;
    left:0; top:10px;
    }

    3.) Sure, just add this to the end of style.css. Change 20px to the space you’d like above and below the boxed area.

    .boxed { margin: 20px auto; }

    This will add 20px margin top and bottom. If you only want to adjust the margin at the top, use this code:

    .boxed { margin:20px auto 15px; }

    This will have 20px margin at the top and 15px at the bottom.

    Thank you for searching before asking your questions, I don’t think they have been asked elsewhere though.

    Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Cheers,

    James

    Brilliant. Thank you. One more tweak. In reference to question #1 above. If you look at http://www.chadcahill.com – I want to remove the extra ‘white’ space below the thumbnails. There is an extra gray line and blank space. Can I remove that?

    Hi!

    Assuming you want to remove the whole section, just add this to the end of style.css:

    .home #main { display: none !important; }

    Best regards,

    James
