If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I have updated my column widths so that the sidebar is now set at a width of four units and the main column is set to eight, as opposed to the default three and nine. (I followed the directions in another thread and updated the content_class options in both the register-admin-options.php file and the register-admin-metabox.php file.)
But now my blog isn’t lining up due to the shortened width of the main column. I noticed that in Firebug, when I change the blog-meta column from three to two units and the post-title to offset-by-two, rather than offset-by-three, I can achieve the alignment that I am looking for.
Can you tell me where I need to make the changes so that this is what I am getting?
Nevermind, I found it. The file that controls it was the ‘format-standard.php’. Of course, if you are using a different format, you will have to update the appropriate file, as there are php files for quote, gallery and link.
