Thank you for providing such a great product (Velvet theme), and thank you for this Support forum. I am a brand-new WP novice with no coding experience.

    PROBLEM 1:

I want all Event Detail pages to be a Fullwidth Page — by default. In other words, remove the sidebar entirely for the Event Details page. I currently see the Event Details page with a sidebar that contains my site’s default Blog sidebar widgets.

    PROBLEM 2:

When adding a new page, I want to make the Default Template to be a Fullwidth Page … (but Without having to choose “Fullwidth Page” from the Template drop-down menu in Page Attributes when creating the new page.

    Thank you!

Go to wp-content/themes/velvet and rename “template-fullwidth.php” to page.php and page.php to “template-pagesidebar.php”. Then open up template-pagesidebar.php and add following code at the very top after “<?php”

    Template Name: Page with sidebar

At least open up page.php and delete following code:

    Template Name: Fullwidth Page

Dude, thank you so much! You rock.

Glad Peter was able to help you! Let us know if you have any more questions.
