    Hi I’m using the ‘minimal’ (light) option of the Habitat theme and would like to change the color of the hover state. Currently it is black and I would prefer it to be magenta (ie: #FFCBDB).

    I can (sort of) find where I thought I would be able to change it in the style.css but it appears to bet getting styling elsewhere which is overriding anything I add?

    thanks in advance for your help

    add following code to style.css (at the very bottom):

    .nav li a:hover strong, .nav li a:hover span{
    color: #ff0000 !important;

    Change the color as you like :)

    Works Great!

    Glad that I could help you :)

    I tried doing this to change the hover color of my menu links and could not get it to work. Could it be because I made modifications to the primary/secondary colors in the style1/2/3 sheets using the !important code?

    yes, certainly. Using !important will override previously set options, it’s possible you’ve overwritten the code to be changed. If you could link to your site we can check on it. For example, in your style2.css I find:

    color: #96A1A6 !important;

    When removing this the menu colors change.
