Change portfolio thumbs, remove footer and RSS feed

I have a few questions:

1) In the portfolio, is there a way to set a specific image for the thumbnail instead of using the shrunk down version of the large image?

2) How do I remove the footer, the section with the widgets above the copyright bar?

3) How do I remove the RSS feed icon completely so the top alert bar above the logo goes all the way across.

I also found two other issues. I made a portfolio page and it is not showing the larger images:

http://www.humantheory.com/portfolio

The top navigation buttons appear but way too high and overlapping the text on the page. Not sure what the issue is.

And one last thing, how do I have the images appear in a lightbox inside of on the same page?

Sorry, one last question. How do I make it so the slideshow is clickable to the portfolio page and not the slideshow page that I set up?

Hi,

1.) No, it uses the the first image that upload on the Featured Media.

2.) To remove the footer containing widgets, add this on your custom.css
```
#footer .container {
display: none;
}
```
3.) To remove the RSS icon, just add this on your custom.css
```
.rss {
display: none;
}
```

Thanks, is there a way to move the "close" button a little farther over to the right now that the RSS button is gone?

Also, did you have a chance to look into my other question? The portfolio large images are not working on the portfolio page:

http://www.humantheory.com/portfolio

They were working fine before i added the text to the portfolio page.

Any ideas why the big images are not showing up when you click the thumbs?

Hi Drew,

Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:
```
#top .close_info_text {
    right: 0px;
}
#info_text_header {
    left: 0px;
}
#top .social_bookmarks {
    display: none;
}
```
That should get your info text area cleaned up and not show any social icons at all. If you do want to show any in the future, just remove the last bit for #top .social_bookmarks which I added in to remove the dotted border and container.

For your portfolio page, have you changed anything within the theme stylesheets or files? There is some odd styling happening and I'm not sure whats causing it or where its coming from.

Hi Devin, thanks for the reply. I added the CSS code you gave above to the Quick CSS panel and I see that it resolved a little of the spacing issues with the top bar but the "close" button didn't move. Is there a way to move it over to the right more?

For the portfolio, I haven't edited anything in the stylesheet. Just to make sure I just re-upload the layout.css again from the original files I downloaded to make sure it's the same one that came with it. The weird thing is that if I get rid of the text on the page, it works fine but as soon as i add any text back in I get the same issue.

I also just re-uploaded page.php and template-portfolio.php to make sure that those are the original unedited files. Still seeing the same issue.

I tried replacing all the css files with the originals and still get the same issue. I guess I can get around it if I just use the template builder to make the portfolio page layout...not ideal but that will have to do.

For the close button, you can move it all the way over with:
```
.infotext_wrap {
padding-right: 10px !important;
}
```
I was concerned it would effect the responsive layout but it shouldn't after a bit of testing just now.
