    Hi irsa,

    Sorry for the late response, kindly open wp-contentthemeschoicesfunctions.php and find this line of code (line 68):

    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>990, 'height'=>400 ); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider

    Just change the height value and re-upload your slider images. Hope this helps. :)

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Hi Israel. I found this post above as I have the same problem.

    I changed the height field but the system still starts off too high and shrinks to the size of my photo.

    Hi marko7,

    I just checked your site and I think it the home slider just fits well. Kindly clear the browser cache.

    Hi Ismael. Same problem I’m afraid. I set the height on the functions file to 240. It still starts off larger and shrinks to 240. Doesn’t look to be 400 though?

    Mark.

    Hi irsa,

    Glad that we could help. :)

    @marko7: I noticed that you are using propulsion theme. Try to add this in your Quick CSS or custom.css:

    #slideshow_big {
    height: 277px !important;
    }

    Hope this helps.

    Ismael

    Hi Ismael. No. I am using Choices.

    Hi,

    I changed the height of the slider in functions.php to 300px

    and then added the following lines to my custom.css:

    Code:
    .slideshow_container {
    height: 282px !important;
    }

    For now it works in IExplorer9, Chrome and Firefox

    Hi easy-carpet. Thanks. That worked! My photo is 240px. Why does the height have to be 282px?

    Cheers. Mark.

    #92956

    It depends on your image size and the height/width size configured in your functions.php.

    In my case the picture is 990x300px according to the values in my functions.php(width: 990px and height: 300px).

    The theme crops all this to 934x282px, so I set the height in customs.css to 282px

    @easy-carpet perfect! thanks :)

    @ismael you should consider to next versions to have a easy way to change the sizes of all the elements of the page, and the spaces between the elements. The designers would apperciate very much! thanks:
