I would like my home page, which is also the main blog page, to be styled like the blog “category” page.

In other words, the page looks like this: http://pmags2.jzapin.com/

But I want the layout of this page to look like this: http://pmags2.jzapin.com/topics/ramblings

In other words, the main page is like this:

    Body Copy

    I want it to be:

    Image Title
    Body Copy

    How do I do that?

The reason why this two pages look different is that the first one uses template_blog.php and the other page archive.php. You can try to modify archive.php with the code of template_blog.php so that they look the same. It’s a bit of work though..

Thanks for the reply. Again, a great response. Is there a way to display blogs using Avisio’s standard home page but not use slider and display blog entires?

What do you mean with standard home page? Do you want to display blog entries full width? Or within the fronpage tabs…

    Thanks for the response.

I am talking about the Avisio home page that contains the slider. The thing that is probably coolest about Avisio that I don’t use. As you can see from this screencast, http://screencast.com/t/VWKdq15et1S7, I’m using a blog page as my home page.

Is there a way to use the “cool” Avisio home page, remove the slider and display the blog posts?

Yes it’s possible but the modifications take some time.
