If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
The site-in-progress is going together at record speed thanks to WordPress and the great Newscast theme. Thank you for all the help so far.
New issue: when you password protect a post the following appears on related screens:
Protected: (Title of Post)
There is no excerpt because this is a protected post
I would like to change the wording to:
Subscribers only: (Title of Post)
This article is available to Subscribers only.
Where do I find the file in question, what is the filename, and what code needs to be changed. Would need to be able to change it for the Accordion Slider also, if a separate file.
Again, many thanks.
these text strings are not controlled by our theme but by wordpress. You can use filters or plugins like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/protected-post-personalizer/ to change the text strings.
I installed the Protected Post Personalizer plugin, but it is a first-time coding effort and was buggy and didn’t work correctly. I looked into the WordPress files and found the correct language file to alter.
It is: wp-includes/post-template.php
Just look for the offending lines of text and replace them with the ones you need.
Works perfectly now.
Thanks again for putting me on track.
