    Hi there.

I am looking to dramatically alter my single post entries and hope that you can help me achieve my goal :)

Currently I am using the light box script for displaying my images. Check out to see a typical single post entry.

As you can see, currently I have one main image and three thumbnails below it all linked up using light box.

What I would like to do is replace the light box script and implement a series of little dots under the main image, similar to what Apple use under the main image here

I would like these dots to be linked to different images within the post entry and the user to be able to ‘flick through’ the various images by clicking the dots. Each time the user main image should be replaced.

How difficult would this be to implement / achieve ?

    Many Thanks in advance.

I think you’re looking for a slideshow – you can use slideshow plugins for nextgen gallery or i.e. nivo slider plugins:

It’s possible to develop a custom solution but it’s a time intensive task and not within the scope of this support forum.

    Thanks for your reply.

    These look like great solutions!

Would I be able to simply install one of these plugins and use them on my posts?

Can I still have Lightbox installed?

    Many Thanks,

Yes – most of the plugins should work out of the box. You can also use the slidedeck content slider (you can download the free version here: SlideDeck ) if you’d like to combine content/text with images.

Thanks for the information mate! Really appreciated!

I realise this isn’t quite within the realms of what you should be supporting here but if there is any chance you could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful!

I have installed the ‘Simple Nivo Slider’, selected Portfolio as my Category but am struggling to find out how I actually get images in a single post to use it?! Probably a very silly question ha..

Many Thanks, Hope you can help!
