I have been looking around the forum and haven’t found a solution to this. I am trying to adjust the width of the entire site frame. I have been browsing the CSS and PHP files but can’t figure out where this is dictated. I understand it will mess up some the layout but surely there is a way to safely do this and workaround the effects of it. Mostly, I just want to “zoom” or “scale” the page up to minimize the width of the columns on left and right….very similar to the kriesi home page. :)
Any help would be appreciated!November 9, 2013 at 5:17 am #186377
The only file you would really need to modify is the grid.css file in the css folder. If the options in the theme options for 960, 1030 and 1210 aren’t what you are looking for then you would need to re-do all of the grid values to suit your needs.

Thanks for your response Devin! I don’t see a theme option to change the width to 960, 1030 and 1210? I am sure I’m looking right at it — Can you point me in the right direction?November 10, 2013 at 3:09 pm #186598
You should go to Enfold theme options > General Settings > Responsive Layout to change the width of the layout

I am using the Eunoia theme. I apologize for not making that clear in my original post. This doesn’t seem to be option on Eunoia? Surely this is possible without having to re-do all of grid.css?

Ah! I apologize, I saw the E on the forum name and just filled in Enfold.
No, unfortunately Eunoia only has a fixed width version and a responsive version for the page settings. The grid.css is your only real option though it isn’t overly difficult since you are only modifying the values based whatever larger/smaller size you want to use.
You can try playing with the main container values and see if you can get what you are after without tweaking the whole grid but it isn’t really set up for it.November 10, 2013 at 10:39 pm #186673
Ah! All my hopes and dreams crashed before my eyes. I was afraid of that. I’ll take my chances at the grid locally and see what happens. If any theme updates come for this template, you guys should consider adding a secondary grid.css with a 1200 base grid. I would love to see how it was done. Just a thought. :)
