Excellent theme – very pleased I purchased it!

    Just a couple of issues.

    1) As all my potfolio images are square instead of oblong …

    a) I’ve changed the images sizes so that they display correctly but I’ve had to turn off the overlay / hover effect as that is still the old oblong size – where do I update that please?

    b) Although the portfolio images (without hover overlay) display correctly, the boxes into which the images fit on the portfolio overview pages are still the old oblong size. This gives an interesting ‘waterfall’ effect as the page loads with the old oblong sized boxes that then expand as the images load into them – how do I change the box sizes to be the same as the image sizes please?

    2) The /portfolio-entries/ pages for the filtered items (I’ve created a custom menu for the footer showing the portfolio categories) are displaying huge images in a blog style format that I want to reduce down to 450×450 or less – which template do I change please?

Note – I’ve looked at the source code via Firebug and changed everything else successfuly except the above items that I haven’t been able to locate / sort.

Many thanks again for an excellent theme!

    Hi univiz,

Sorry about the delay! We’ve been catching up on both ends (new posts and older posts) getting all posts taken care of this week so you were right there in the middle I guess until now.

Once you’ve changed the image sizes via functions.php, you’ll need to regenerate your thumbnails with http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

If you can provide a link to your site, we’ll take a look at the current issues and see what we can do about a fix. Just from the descriptions I’m not quite sure what the changes are that need to be so I don’t want to give you unnecessary changes.

    Regards,

    Devin

Hello Devin – thank you for your response.

URL is http://www.buybuygroup.com – it’s a brand new site (not much content yet) set up with Angular from the go so it shouldn’t need thumbnails regenerating.

After, I’d changed the images sizes in functions.php according to theme instructions, I deleted the posts and redid them with the new images plus I’ve added a couple more since.

Thanks again and sorry for being a tad impatient – I want to get it all sorted whilst it’s still fresh in my mind and before I waft off onto other projects.

    Hello,

Is this problem fixed? I visited the site and I don’t see any Oblong objects there.

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Hello Ismael

No, *ALL* the problems are still exactly the same as the initial post above which I’ve copied below to save you having to scroll up the page.

In summary, I’ve changed the images sizes (to be square) but I can’t use the hover/overlay feature as this is still the original landscape oblong size. i.e. it squishes the overlay images back to the landscape orientation and does not cover the full colour image. I simply want to know how and where do I change the hover/overlay image sizes. And secondly, I want to know which template the portfolio-entries pages use so that I can reduce the huge image size down to a smaller size.

    Hi univiz,

    1) You’ll need to turn the overlay on so we can see what is happening.

1b) The boxes are 231px by 231px which is a square.

    2) The images for the individual portfolio items have been changed to use two six-unit containers so it looks like you’ve changed this already.

    Regards,

    Devin
