    Hi I changed my website from ‘modern’ to ‘light’ and need to make some changes in line with it.

    1) What code do I need to reduce the gap between the top and bottom of the main logo? I want to reduce the gaps so the logo is closer to the top and closer to the text underneath – reducing the overall space of the black part.

    2) How do I center the text for my second menu headers? I asked this question before I was provided this code:

    #menu-second.catnav li a strong {
    text-align: center;

    When I first used the code, it worked when I had 6 categories. Now that i’ve reduced it to 4, it moves the text slightly to the right but not in the center of the columns as I would expect.

    3) How do I change the font size, hovering link color and normal color for the second menu headers?

    4) How do I remove the divider bars between the 4 sections for the second menu headers?

    5) How can I change the background color or image? Is it possible to use a full size background image like in the ‘modern’ theme?

    Thanks for all your help!

    Hey sq85!

    1. You need to alter this image to reduce the black part height:

    http://www.manofintegrity.net/wp-content/themes/newscast/images/skin1/bg.png

    Then you’d add something like this:

    #head .nav_wrapper {
    padding-top: 100px !important;
    }

    2. Use this code (modify the one you already have for this elements):

    ul#menu-second li a {
    height: auto !important;
    padding-top: 13px !important;
    padding-bottom: 0 !important;
    padding-right: 0 !important;
    width: 227px;
    text-align: center;
    }

    3. For that you can use this selectors:

    ul#menu-second li a {
        color: red !important;
        background: blue !important;
    }
    ul#menu-second li a:hover{
        color: red !important;
        background: orange !important;
    }

    4. This will do it:

    .catnav li, .catnav li a{
        border-right: 0;
    }

    5. I think this would work, provide the image you want to use:

    body {
    background: #000 url(_URL_IMG_) fixed no-repeat top center;
    }

    Cheers!

    Thanks you’re amazing Josue! Two more points please:

    1) The code you gave me:

    .catnav li, .catnav li a{
    border-right: 0;
    }

    Has removed the divider bars between each second menu item, but there are 3 left – on the left, right and across the bottom. Can I remove these too?

    2) Is it possible to replace just the white parts of the background with either an image or color?

    I’ve tried editing the white part of the bg file (http://www.manofintegrity.net/wp-content/themes/newscast/images/skin1/bg.png) but that only replaces a small segment of the white background in the top section.

    Ideally I want to use a fixed image for the white background which stays fixed when you scroll down. If not, a solid color works just as well!

    Hi!

    1.) You can add this below:

    .catnav, .catnav_wrapper {
    border: none;
    }

    2.) Can you please give us a link to the website? A screenshot will help.

    Cheers!

    Hey!

    You can add following code to custom CSS and adjust as desired.

    body { background-color: red; }

    and if you would like to use background image instead, you can use following code

    body { background-image: url(http://linktoyourimage.com/image.png); }

    Cheers!
