Is the black box behind the slideshow an image. I am trying to find where I can change that to a gray color. Do I need to upload a new image or is it somewhere in the CSS?

Hey,
it's an image. In style1.css search for following code and adjust the bg image/background value:
```
#wrapper_featured_area{
background: #f8f8f8 url('../images/skin1/bg.png') repeat-x left -805px ;
}
```
