hello.
please tell me there is a way to have the Blog page (or any secondary page that can be a blog) default as the homepage.
does that make sense?

Hey,
In WP Admin, you can modify the homepage to be a static page under Settings > Reading - just create a page using the Blog template and set this to the homepage.
Let us know if this needs further clarification or if you run into any problems.
