I changed the permalinks for the site I'm working on (spiritlifespeaks.com/churchsite/) and now the portfolio page (teachings) items are delivering 404 errors. Any way to make the custom structure work?

MemberHey scratch that, I kinda forgot what was going wrong. Portfolio items are still generating a 404 error when I have custom permalinks. I'm not using any redirect plug-ins either.
I am building the site in a sub-directory. I plan to move it once I get the bugs worked out. Any way this is the culprit?
