I want to use the Default Template as the basis for a new template. Which file is the default template? Thx

Hi outtacontext,

What template do you mean? As I explained in your other topic there isn't really default template in the theme. The only thing that comes close to a default template would be either the page.php, single.php or the actual loop-index.php in the includes folder.

When I create a new Page and apply the "Default Template" in the pulldown menu to it, what file is it using to create that page?

I'm trying to create a new template based on the layout/design that is created when I choose "Default Template" shown on the Page admin panel: http://outtacontext.com/images/wp_template.jpg

Okay, I found it. The Default Template is the page.php file. I've been able to create a new template based on it. Thx.
