hi there, once again I’m struggling!
I am getting complaints from customers saying they can’t get past the paypal option at checkout. Apparently they go through the checkout process as they get the never ending spinner and can’t proceed.
I added a Cash on Delivery option to payment methods but they are unable to use it as it’s grayed out because paypal is selected as the preferred method.
What I’m really struggling with is when I test the checkout system everything works. I’ve tested it on my Mac on both Safari & Firefox and on my Windows laptop in both IE and Firefox and I still don’t have a problem checking out. I had 2 friends test the process and one friend was able to complete without issue and the other was not even after 3 tries and waiting several minutes each time.
I’m not seeing any errors but I’m not having the problem. Any ideas of what I should do?

Unfortunately we are not able to provide support for WooCommerce specific issues. You can switch to one of the default WordPress themes to check and see if its a theme specific issue but in this case that may not work since the “issue” isn’t happening consistently.
Since you’ve updated to 3.8 you can check to see if another of your plugins may be in need of an update as well though not much major on the front end has changed from 3.7 to 3.8.

I am having the same issue. I was not aware until a customer emailed me. I click proceed to check out, and then on the bottom I get a never ending spin. What is the issue? My issue ended up a permissions issue with accessing the admin-ajax.php file for users who are not whitelisted.
The biggest issue was that the’Checkout’ function depended upon the admin-ajax.php file, which was locked down due to it being in the ~/wp-admin/ directory. The issue looked like a complete full-stop one because it would never give the option to check out.

Thank you VERY much for your fast responds. It is currently 2am here and i’m going crazy trying to resolve this issue for my business. If you don’t mind, can you give me details on what to do? Do i look for the file and delete it. Or find an updated file to replace it?

no bother, but unfortunately I can’t instruct you on the changes made to allow me to process orders. My provider did everything. they made the changes. I am on VPS. Perhaps your provider can help?
this is an exerpt from my support records.
all I did was add a few lines to the .htaccess file in /wp-admin/ after making sure that allowing anybody to access admin-ajax.php; was safe.
I was told that In the event that I apply an update and suddenly things stop working, that is the first place to look.

I have similar issue that once I click checkout, the page will show: No data Received.
I’ve increased WP MEMORY LIMIT and WP MAX MEMORY LIMIT in wp-config.php.
I still have no idea how to fix it after this thread.

I suggest to check the troubleshooting guide here: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/problems-with-large-amounts-of-data-not-saving-variations-rates-etc/ – I think the max_input_vars limit might cause the issue and you need to increase it.
