    Hi

we are having problems when the Child theme is activated. Same problem occurs whether using the Child theme from MensMaximus (downloaded from this forum) or the ‘official’ version.

    Problem 1.
With the Enfold Child theme activated a mega menu is squashed and doesn’t display all columns – with Enfold activated the mega menu displays correctly.

    Problem 2.
With the Enfold Child theme activated naviagtion doesn’t display when viewing site on mobile devices – with Enfold activated the navigation displays correcty.

    We have

    • added nothing new to the code which came in the downloaded version of the Child Theme (either version) in either the style.css or functions.php
    • Disabled all plugins
    • Added no Quick CSS
    • Viewed the site on different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and different PCs
    • Cleared all cache etc – multiple times

    Versions:
    Wordpress 4.5.2
    Enfold 3.5.4

    Thanks

    John

    Hey JohnMYates,

There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    Login credentials include:

    • the URL to the login screen
    • a valid username (with full administration capabilities)
    • as well as a password for that username

    Best regards,
    Andy

    I have
    – deleted the Enfold and enfold-child folders under wp-content/themes
    – downloaded a new copy of the theme from Themeforest & FTP’s it the server
    – downloaded a new copy of the child theme from this forum & FTP’d it to the server

    All to no effect.

Credentials as requested in the private content

    Thanks

    john

    Hi John,

It’s fixed, you had jQuery included on a Widget – http://screencast.com/t/yxoTERV8, WP already includes jQuery so when another one is present it tends to cause these kind of issues.

    Best regards,
    Josue
