Hi, there seems to be a problem when placing two Google Map Widgets on the same element. For instance, I’ve created a 2 column element through the template builder and trying to put a map on each column, but for some reason the 1st map never shows. I’ve swiched the widgets to check whether it was data configuration problem, but still the first map is nowhere to be seen.

You can see the issue at the bottom of this page:

    Hello,

Let me tag Kriesi and Peter for this.

The google API script outputs following error/warning: “You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.” – thus I think it’s probably related to the google api and its limitations….

I guess there’s nothing you can do about it then…?

    :(

    Hi Mediosordo,

I believe that is correct. Sorry about that :(

I’ll mention the issue to Kriesi and see if he might have any ideas.

    Devin

    Hi Mediosordo,

don’t know if you are still struggling with that. I had the same issue and solved it his way:

The Choices Google Maps Widget somehow uses the same variables for both maps, which causes one of them to brake. You can work around by not using the Choices Widget, but just a text widget and paste the iFrame code provided by Google directly. Just open a goole map, set the area and zoom that you need and click on the embed-button. Copy the code and paste it where you need it to be.

If you want to remove the ugly bubble that google puts in there, just add “iwloc=&” in front of “output=embed” of the iFrame text.
