Hi,

I found a bug that Choices Latest News widdget disappears with WPML enbled.
This happens ONLY on portfolio category page like here:
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/choices/portfolio_entries/html/

Hope this small bug could be fixed soon.

Hi,

I think it would be best for you to use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ - Widget Logic.

You would be able to stack two news widgets on 'top' of one another inside any of the four footer widget areas/sidebars. So you would put an English title and make selection of the English categories are, add (ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE == 'en') in the widget logic box, and save without touching the Russian identical news widget below the first in the same widget area.

Then switch to Russian and without touching the English plugin you select the Rus. categories and use the code (ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE == 'ru') for the Widget Logic Box on the bottom of that widget.

And meanwhile we will take a look at the widget issues.

Hi Nick,

I'm using that good plugin to translate widgets. It works good on all pages EXCEPT Portfolio Category Page:
http://nuforms.com/portfolio_entries/flyers/ - WPML enabled and doesn't show latest news
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/choices/portfolio_entries/html/ - works good if WPML disabled also on my site

As you have tested a lot with WPML, could you please test this widget on Portfolio Category Page like here:
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/choices/portfolio_entries/html/

PS. I think Portfolio Category Page is a little buggy, since it even dosen't show all Portfolio entries to certain category, I described it here:

These are some notes ... somewhere along the line WPML gets confused between post categories and taxonomy categories perhaps.

1a) No WPML on Portfolio Category Page any sidebar: Choices Latest News (works), Choices Latest Portfolio (works), Recent Posts (works)

Hey! Unfortunately I am not quite sure why this is happening but the thread is market and on my todo list. we have just released an update for choices and once the other themes received theirs I will dig deeper into the issue and hopefully find whats causing the problem.

Sorry, still couldnt find the problem. Did you try asking for support in the wpml forum? I am pretty sure they have more experience with this kind of issue, maybe they can help here...
