for some reason the close button on the internal portfolio page takes a very long time to load.
(the one with the +, - & x characters.)
it prevents users from going to other sections until the load is finished.
Can someone help explain why this is happening and perhaps how, if possible it can be fixed.
Is it just the button or is there a problem loading the whole section?

Hi G,
The conses is there is a bit of a slow load on how many items are being pulled for each portfolio so the loading icon is just going off that. You can however hide the icon so that it doesn't appear as though things are still slowly loading in. You can do that by adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:
.ajax-close .ajax_loading.ajax_loading2{
display: none;

Thanks again for your help. You guys are the greatest.
I don't want to appear too stupid all at once, but does that mean the size/number of items in each portfolio square is slowing down the load.
I will try hiding the icon. it will at least give the user an easier sense I think.
