I am a beginner at web building/wordpress and coding in general. I would like to know how to:

1. Change the copyright text in the sidebar area to read: Copyright © 2011 - MYNAME Link to my email address

Will something like this work (I got it from a previous theme) and where do I put it.

Copyright © 2011 - MYNAME myemailaddress

If this is no good, what code should I use?

2. What code would I use to add a button (minimal style as per template) for my Linkedin, Vimeo, Flickr accounts etc? As an option, what code is needed to create a social media button to say Linkedin including and image button?

I hope this makes sense.

Hey,
the copyright text can be found in sidebar.php - search for following line:

echo "	<span class='copyright'>© ".__('Copyright','avia_framework')." - <a href='".home_url('/')."'>".get_bloginfo('name')."</a> - <a href='http://www.kriesi.at'>Wordpress Theme by Kriesi.at</a></span>";

and replace it with:

echo "	<span class='copyright'>© ".__('Copyright','avia_framework')." - MYNAME - <a href='emailto:myemail@address.com'>myemail@address.com</a></span>";

2) You can add links to these services with a code like:

echo "
<a href='http://www.linkedin.com'>Linkedin</a>
<a href='http://www.flickr.com'>FlickR</a>
<a href='http://www.vimeo.com'>Vimeo</a>
";

you can place this line directly under the copyright text above.

I have just purchased Template. I would like to know how can I add Skype call me button rather than text??
Please let me know .. Planning to up my website in this 2011

Hey,
I never implemented a skype button so I can't provide detailed instructions - however you can replace following line in sidebar.php:
```
echo "	<span class='copyright'>© ".__('Copyright','avia_framework')." - <a href='".home_url('/')."'>".get_bloginfo('name')."</a> - <a href='http://www.kriesi.at'>Wordpress Theme by Kriesi.at</a></span>";
```
with something like:
```
?>

My skype button code....

<?php
```
and instead of "My skype button code...." fill in your skype button html code...

Hey, I have a similar problem.

Where the social links are I want them to be icons as oppose to the actual words. How can I add the icons? When I've tried to add the images in the code the whole sidebar disappears.

Hi Joel,

You probably just need to escape the php. In Dude's example above for a skyp button you would need to do the same for the social icons and make the content static. So replace the php content but make sure you are closing and re-opening the php where needed.
