Code not working properly – Link?

I have added a code of a hover effect inside a code block in the page below.

The issues I have are:
1 – For some reason the the hover cursor – link doesn’t always become avtive when you hover on the image. It doesn’t work when you hover once then you would hover away then you hover back then it activates the link. You would understand when you visit the page.

2- The Dark screen that transform and slide to the top is showing outside on the box when its moving in. The effect should show within the Code box and not outside it. Did I need to have a Div to include so it dhoesn’t show the effect outside the container on each box?
