    Hi,

    Love the Social Media buttons, but they only appear on a post.

    How can I also have them on each page? And is it possible to ad a Linkedin button in the same style also?

    Thanks!

    Hi Xelation,

    I’m not sure what you mean by the social media buttons only appearing on posts. They are displayed at the top of the page by default as in the demo here: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/coherence/

    You can add more social media icons in the Theme Options. Just scroll down to where you see the current Social Icons and hit the Green + sign to add another. Then select Linkedin from the dropdown and put your URL into the field next to it. Make sure to Save all changes when you are done.

    Hi Devin,

    No I mean the Like & Tweet button under a (blog)post right of Comments.

    How to I get these underneath a page and add a Linkedin version of it.

    Thanks.

    Hi Xelation,

    If you wanted to add additional buttons to the social like/twitter/etc at the bottom of posts, you’ll need to open includes>loop-index.php and search for:

    echo '<div class="like-count minor-meta">';
    echo avia_facebook_like($id);
    echo '</div><span class="text-sep like-count-sep">/</span>';

    echo '<span class="tweets-count minor-meta">';
    echo avia_retweet($id);
    echo '</span><span class="text-sep tweets-count-sep">/</span>';

    Then add the additional social hooks/code.

    To add the social text to pages you’ll open includes>loop-page.php and add the above code right after:

    if(isset($post->ID) && $contact_page_id == $post->ID) get_template_part( 'includes/contact-form' );

    and before the ” ?> “.

    Make sure to save your files and then put them back into the same folder on your server.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Super will try this right away!

    And a linkedin button can’t be done?

    Hi Xelation,

    You can add the linkedin button with the rest of the social button code. I’m not familiar with it so you’ll need to check in to what it requires and add the code in yourself.

    Devin
