    Hi,

    I’ve got 2 questions:

    1. In reply of anohter thread I’ve found, i’ve added the following code to the custom.css, to give a border under the main menu item, when you’re in a sub page:

    .current-page-ancestor a{border-bottom:2px solid #d82673;}

    This also gives a line under the menu items in the drop down menu which doesn’t like very nice.

    Is there a way to get rid of the borders in the drop down menu?

    2. Can’t seem to find the way to change the color of H1 items only. Can you please tell me where to change that color?

    Many thanks!

    Niels

    Hi Niels,

    Can we take a look at your page live to see exactly what the effect the current page css is having? It will also help to see the H1 element you want to target since there could be specific classes interfering with a change.

    Devin

    Hello,

    1. You use this to add a border on your menu items.

    #top .main_menu .menu li {
    border-bottom: 1px solid #CCC;
    }

    2. By H1, I suppose you mean page title? You edit the page title with this.

    h1.page-title {
    color: pink;
    }

    Hi Ismael,

    Thanks for your reply. Regarding the H1 color, that’s exactly what I need, thanks.

    Concerning the border in the main menu, I think i was not completely clear:

    I’ve added the

    code .current-page-ancestor a{border-bottom:2px solid #d82673;}

    to give the main menu a border while you’re in a sub page.

    For example, if you go to this page: http://poortvandelft.nl/over-poort-van-delft/aanleiding, and you’ll hover over the menu item ‘POORT van Delft’, alle the sub items have a border, while this should only happen to the parent item.

    Here’s a picture to clear things up a little :-) http://www.poortvandelft.nl/downloads/screenshot.gif. So I want to get rid of the borders under the sub menu items, but keep a border under the parent item in the main menu while I’m in a sub page.

    Many thanks for your help in advance!

    Kind regards,

    Niels

    Hi,

    Try to add the border on this class.

    li.menu-item.menu-item-type-post_type.menu-item-object-page.current-menu-item page_item {
    border-bottom: 2px solid pink;
    }

    Hi Ismael,

    That doesn’t work unfortunately. It does give a border when I’m on the parent page, but not when I’m on a sub page…..

    Hi, do you perhaps have another solution to solve this issue?

    So I would like to have a border under the main menu item, even when you’re in the sub page of that menu.

    Many thanks!

    Hi vrielsdenies,

    Try adding this code:

    #menu-hoofdmenu .current_page_ancestor a {
    border-bottom: 2px solid #D82673;
    }

    or this code if the code above doesn’t work:

    #menu-hoofdmenu .current_page_ancestor a {
    border-bottom: 2px solid #D82673 !important;
    }

    Hope this helps. :)

    Hi Niels,

    you can add this code to avoid the borders in the drop down menu:

    Code:
    #menu-hoofdmenu ul.sub-menu li a {
    border-bottom: none;
    }

    Regards,

    Manuel.
