   Hi,
   Is it possible to have difference column counts for different pages? For instance, 3 columns for the main shop page and 4 columns for a specific category page.

   Yes it is. You can download a free plugin Woo just released to do just that --> http://chromeorange.co.uk/woocommerce-set-number-of-thumbnail-columns/

   Edit: I just noticed he took down the plugin, but do try the code from that page, and add it to your functions.php file.
