If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
Would it be possible to add a vertical line between column posts that are added via template builder?
That would actually be a little tricky. The columns are created using some core layout css which spaces them out for both the columns in general and then for the different media queries (for devices). Its a bit more than support can offer since it would probably have some negative repercussions throughout the rest of the theme and take some major tweaking depending on the exact style you are looking for.
Is there a way of showing each column at 100% as opposed to 33%? if I knew the total space available for three columns I could size them to fit accordingly. This way I’d be able to easily have the columns flush against each other.
I’m not sure what you mean. The column width is done as a percent so that it can adjust to the container. If they were at 100%, they wouldn’t be columns, it would be the full width of the page.
What is the final goal that you are looking to achieve?
I’d just like to maximize the space, right now There is a lot of white space that could be used.
In that case, you can adjust the grid sizes for the elements in the grid.css file located in the css folder of your theme. The margins and widths are located there to work throughout all the elements of the site and provide the whitespace.
I would suggest the new css styles you make, even if its just changing the margin percents, be added to the custom.css file so that if something goes wrong or you update the theme, the original css stays intact.
