Hi,
after updating Enfold 3.5.3 via FTP by replacing the entire enfold folder, i get this message from the browser:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘__’ (T_STRING), expecting ‘)’ in /home/httpd/vhosts/idroclima.ch/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/columns.php on line 418
If i remove the columns.php file the site shows up again but has errors – [av_one_third first] –
If I replace columns.php file with older versions the site has again synatax errors.can you help?
Thank you
April 28, 2016 at 2:29 pm #623773Hi RobertMichel!
there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
Best regards,
AndyApril 28, 2016 at 6:01 pm #623922Hi Andy,
meanwhile I installed the new update Enfold 3.54 but the problem is still showing up.
Then I followed your advise and deleted the entire Enfold folder and retransfered it from scratch over FTP but the problem is still showing up.Help. Thanks.

May 3, 2016 at 5:18 am #626169Hi,
Thanks for the details, so I’m guessing you still have columns.php deleted? What happens if you upload it again from your installation files?

May 6, 2016 at 5:19 am #628080Hi,
Did you remove the columns.php file? Please add it back in the shortcodes folder. We would like to check if the issue will still happen on a newly created page. We tried to access the file server but the login credentials above are incorrect.
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 6, 2016 at 9:31 am #628177Hi,
i can’t put the file back because the site will not run and i can’t wait three days with the site down. At least without this file the site is somehow showing up. I will put new credentials in pvt.
Thank you.
May 9, 2016 at 4:01 pm #629303Hi!
You had four Enfold’s installed in total, i removed three old ones and added columns.php file to the most recent version. Please review your website now
Cheers!
YigitMay 9, 2016 at 4:10 pm #629310Thank you, it’s working. I was keeping the old versions in case of need, i changed the folders name and I thought they didn’t interact…but ok like that. Well done, thank you.
