    Hi,

I would like to draw your attention to this topic in the Sentence section:

    http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/recommendation-for-sentence-compatible-comment-notification-plugin-wanted

Reason: I have bought Newscast, too and have a similar problem, when using the mentioned Plugin.

Maybe you can have a closer look, since it is the second time in two different Themes from Kriesi?

Of course I can give it again to a pro coder, but maybe you are interested in solving it?

    Best Boris

Can you post a link to your Newscast website please?

    Best regards,

    Hey!

I couldn’t find the “subscribe”/”notify me” comment checkbox. Please activate the plugin :)

    Best regards,

    Peter

Done. You can see the checkbox next to the submit button.

    This is the pluginpage: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe-to-double-opt-in-comments/

Maybe you can try it yourself…

I use this one http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe-to-comments-reloaded/ and it works fine!

It’s the new version of the old http://www.infogurke.de/gurken-subscribe-to-comments/ plugin.

Tested and works with CORONA, VELVET and NEWSCAST of Kriesi’s themes.

    Hey.

@colorit2: Thanks for the info. :)

    Regards,

    I will try that.

I have another question concerning the comments: There are three fields next to the comment itself for name, mailadress and website.

The third field is empty. The first says name, the second says E-Mail Adress.

I checked the comments.php and dont know, what to do, so that website will appear in the third field, too.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Boris

@Colorit: You got it up and running? The Plugin seems to have a discussed, but unsolved problems with sending emails to the subscriber to opt-in.

Did I miss something? I even edited the comments.php as described in the FAQs.

Seems like I am running from one bug into another…

    Maybe you can help?

    Hi,

the plugin is broken and the developer is not fixing it, because of lack of time…

So. can we go back to A, please ;-)

    Best Boris

(I activated the original plugin for Dude again, so he can have a look)

    Hey!

Try to add following css code to style.css:

    #commentform .subscribe-to-doi-comments label {
    display: inline;
    }

    Best regards,

    Peter

Dude! You did it again! Fascinating. I think I will become a coder in my next life! ;-)

    Thank you!

    Hi Dude,

I inserted another question above and it got lost on the way.

Here it is again, can you help?

There are three fields next to the comment itself for name, mailadress and website.

The third field is empty. The first says name, the second says E-Mail Adress.

I checked the comments.php and dont know, what to do, so that website will appear in the third field, too.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Found the solution by search. Sorry.

    http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/comments-area-empty-field-without-any-declaration

But it was a two year old topic and is declared as a theme-bug… ;-(

    Hi,

Open comments.php and find this code

    <p><input type="text" name="url" class="text_input" id="url" value="<?php echo $comment_author_url; ?>" size="22" tabindex="3" />
    <label for="url"><small><?php _e('Website','newscast'); ?></small></label></p>

You can change the value or put a placeholder.

    Regards,

    Ismael
