    Hi,

    I’m not sure what you’re saying, it’s normal that on this page no comment boxes are shown, as it is a list where you can read a specific article – and then comment. Am I missing something?

    Hi

    Yes we are missunderstanding each other :)

    On this page

    http://www.carriercarrier.se/wordpress/portfolio_entries/kinesiologi

    there is a text on the leftside (under the yellow flagg) of the heading telling how many comments and in what category the articel can be found

    (this entry has 0 Kommentarer

    iKinesiologi, Kost och Näring, Kosttillskott

    avadmin )

    So I wonder if its possiable to have the same…

    I’m not sure which post type: belongs to. Depending on the post type you need to add following code to includes/loop-portfolio-single.php or includes/loop-index.php:

    <?php
    if(comments_open() || get_comments_number())
    {
    echo "<span class='comment-container minor-meta'>";
    comments_popup_link(__('this entry has','avia_framework')." <span>0 ".__('Comments','avia_framework')."</span>",
    __('this entry has','avia_framework')." <span>1 ".__('Comment' ,'avia_framework')."</span>",
    __('this entry has','avia_framework')." <span>% ".__('Comments','avia_framework')."</span>",'comments-link',
    __('Comments Off' ,'avia_framework'));
    echo "</span><span class='text-sep'>/</span>";
    }

    ?>

    Hi

    I tried adding the code to both includes/loop-portfolio-single.php and includes/loop-index.php:, but nothing happened.

    this is what I have done so far..(http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/comments-in-the-portfolio)

    1/ in single-portfolio.php replace following code

    :

    //show related posts based on categories if there are any

    get_template_part( ‘includes/related-portfolio-posts’);

    with

    //show related posts based on categories if there are any

    get_template_part( ‘includes/related-portfolio-posts’);

    //wordpress function that loads the comments template “comments.php”

    comments_template( ‘/includes/comments.php’);

    what am I missing?

    / thanks

    john

    You are missing perhaps “?>”

    like :

    //show related posts based on categories if there are any

    get_template_part( 'includes/related-portfolio-posts');

    //wordpress function that loads the comments template "comments.php"

    comments_template( '/includes/comments.php');?>

    Hey,

    @SPEAKnSPAN: Thanks for helping out.

    Instead of this code

    //wordpress function that loads the comments template "comments.php"
    comments_template( '/includes/comments.php');

    try using the comment_form code

    /* Last but not least the comment_form() wordpress function
    * renders the comment form as defined by wordpress itself
    * if you want to modify the submission form check the documentation here:
    * http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/comment_form
    */
    if(comments_open()){
    echo "<div class='comment_meta_container alpha three units'>";
    echo "<h3 class='miniheading'>".__('Leave a Reply','avia_framework')."</h3>";
    echo "<span class='minitext'>".__('Want to join the discussion? <br/>Feel free to contribute!','avia_framework')."</span>";
    echo "</div>";
    echo "<div class='comment_container six units'>";
    comment_form();
    echo "</div>";
    }
    else if(get_comments_number())
    {
    /* If there are no comments and comments are closed,
    * let's leave a little note, shall we?
    */

    echo "<h3 class='offset-by-three'>".__( 'Comments are closed.', 'avia_framework' )."</h3>";
    }

    Regards,

    Ismael
