    Hi,

    This is probably a really obvious question, but despite trying I can’t find out how to do it… I want to posts to display only excerpts and “read more”, instead of the whole post. Where is the setting for this?

    Also, I have changed the background colour in the CSS, but a banner of #f4f4f4, about 300 pixels high, remains at the top, directly below the banner image. Where in the CSS do I get rid of this?

    To show only an excerpt of the post you need to make use of the “read more” button. When writing a post or page the button is located above the textarea, right beside the add/remove link buttons.

    This is located in style.css. its the background image applied to the body tag

    Hi Kriesi

    Thanks very much! But just re the background colour: I changed it in style.css, which gives me my preferred colour on most of the screen, but just not that top area directly below the banenr. This is the code:

    body{

    font: normal 0.75em Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;

    color:#333;

    background-image:url(images/bg.jpg);

    background-repeat:repeat-x;

    background-position:top left;

    background-color:#eee9f3;

    }

    …is there somewhere else that sets the background colour for that section? Or is something else interfering there?

    Thanks in advance!
