    I’ve seen references to using the Widget Logic plugin to disable the display of the (blog) Category List on individual portfolio pages, but I can’t get this to work. Specifically we only want the Category Widget to display on the blog page, blog category pages, and blog posts but NOT display on the individual portfolio posts.

    I’ve tried various conditional tags and statements but can’t get it to work. If anyone has found a solution and can provide some guidance, that would be great.

    Thanks, Scott

    Hoping for some help on this. Thanks.

    – Conditional statement to remove the display of a category widget in the portfolio single post pages

    – Category widget should display in blog category pages and blog single post pages only

    – Since the blog single post and portfolio single post are both displayed from the same template (single.php) I can’t figure out how to set a conditional tag to get this done.

    Hey,

    have you tried:

    if( get_post_type() == 'portfolio' )

    to display widgets on portfolio pages only?

    Yes – I’ve tried it. When I use that conditional tag

    if( get_post_type() == 'portfolio' )

    The widget is removed from both the blog page, blog posts, and portfolio posts. Which doesn’t make sense??

    Mmhhh… maybe we can use the taxonomy tag. – try:

    if( is_tax('portfolio_entries') )
