I recently purchased Eunoia because I was dissatisfied with other portfolio themes by other developers and I’m having an issue with populating my portfolio page from existing posts. I have created the portfolio page and have updated the settings page to point to the correct page and have added the categories. However, when I view the page or portfolio items in the dashboard I get zero results.
Any help or ideas s greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you for using the theme!
Please post the website url here. We would like to check it. You can also create a dynamic template on Eunoia > Template Builder, insert the Portfolio element then assign it the portfolio page.

I gave the dynamic template a shot, per your instructions, and am still getting nothing. Thanks for taking a look at it for me. I’m new to the theme, so the problem is most likely behind my keyboard. :-)

Thank you for the update.
When you say existing posts, you mean the posts within the Posts panel? Note that you need the posts or portfolio items on Portfolio Item’s panel then apply a category to them. Please post the login details here and set it as a private reply. I’ll edit the portfolio page for you.

Yes I have previous posts that I have marked with categories for web design, illustration, and animation and have used these as my portfolio items in the past. My assumption was that any posts marked with these categories would automatically be populated into the portfolio page. It looks like I need to add these items to the Portfolio Item panel per your previous response.
I’ll give that a shot and if needed I’ll send you a private login. Thanks!

Yes, the portfolio page does not display the standard posts but we use a “custom post type” for portfolio entries. The advantage is that you blog posts are not separated from your portfolio entries. You can try this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/convert-post-types/ if you want to convert your standard posts to portfolio entries.

It makes sense to me now. I think that I’ll just recreate the new portfolio items manually. My entries could use some pruning and editing. Besides, I tested out the convert post types on my web design entries and they disappeared. LOL. Database backups are very important!
Thanks again for the help!

Okay. Restored from backup and converting posts seems to be working. Thanks again!
