If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
Hi there – at the moment my website http://www.themummyblogger.co.uk has all the posts coming into the front page. Ideally what I would like to keep the home page as it is but also have a section on the nav entitled The Ramblings whereby this is where all the blog posts can be viewed. Is this possible to do? As at the minute readers are having difficulty in finding all of my topics.
You sure can! First you’ll need to open the Newscast Options>Mainpage Options. At the bottom of these is one called Exclude Categories. Select “The Ramblings” category and hit Save Changes below there.
Now, in the Appearances>Menus manager, scroll down the page until you see the box labeled “Categories” on the left hand side. Click on “The Ramblings” category and hit Add to Menu. Now move it to where you would like and hit save.
That should do it!
Ok – just checking – this will still allow posts to come onto the home page as they do now yes?
Oh one more thing I did the above but now posts have stopped appearing on the home page even though they are in the included categories?
