    Any news on the update solving the current issues with Woocommerce 2.0+?

    Here a summary of the issues I currently have (even after the 5th march update) some of them are already reported, but yet no solution given.

    1) The bbforum as hard requirement. I don’t use it, but DO have other forum software installed. If I disable it, I can’t go to multiple admin sections. If I enable it, I get a 404 when opening a new topic in my own forum. (mingle)

    2) The login at the site does not work anymore and gives a “to many redirects” error

    3) The description is double at the product pages. Applied some quickfix from the forums over here to at least make it empty. The tab is still there though.

    4) I have an issue of w3cache, caching admin pages while it shouldn’t (annoying with updates of plugins). I have no prove yet it is related to the skin, but the problems appeared to have started at the exact same as we updated the woocommerce.

    I rather not go back to 1.6+ How is the bug fixing going? Considering it is a premium theme design (with a premium price tag if you ask me), I trust every resource it being utilised.

    Thanks,

    HI,

    1) Please make a backup and open up /includes/admin/register-plugins.php . Delete all of the contents of that file and replace them with the code I posted here (since its too big to paste in a post here) http://pastebin.com/afxawCM1 . This should allow you to not activate bbpress and turn off the nagging that prevents access to dynamic template area.

    2) Hmm.. Have you hid your login page using another plugin? Because when you try to login, you get logged out and redirected to http://www.j1nx.nl/shop/my-account/ … That page is causing problems. However I am unable to replicate this issue on my local install as my page works fine http://www.clipular.com/c?2726710=l8UKjDIk4ehu_3a5BV_XC5wBgAw I would reinstall WooCommerce completely along with WordPress itself.

    3) I don’t see w3 total cache activated

    4) Is your cloudflare correctly configed?

    5) Please deactivate jetpack and all other plugins except woocommerce.

    Your wordpress install is not working correctly since using a clean install i do not get any of these errors with same version theme and fresh wordpress. I spent past 30 minutes testing Propulsion and even created an account on your website. So believe me when I say your install is just corrupt or your plugins are causing issues that otherwise are not present.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    I do believe you if you say it is my WP install that is borked, annoyingly this only came to my attention after updating Propulsion. But have a second thought, it is not fair to blame Propulsion as the reason of updating the theme was because of the Woocommerce update. It might have just been the woocommerce update that screwed things up.

    1) Thx for the fix. That new file indeed fixed the bbpress requirement.

    2) Nothing hidden, but considering you were not able to reproduce it I just wiped the whole Woocommerce stuff and re-installed. Re-created the pages etc. Appeared to have solved the MyAccount issue.

    3) Yes, I turned it off for the moment at that point to inspect the update system.

    4) yes

    5) See 2

    Anyway, I kind of back to starting point. I now have again the double description at the product pages (have a look), do you guys have that one already sorted as well?

    Hi,

    Glad that you got things sorted and recreated so quickly.

    What would you like to see on the individual pages. We can make the top description to be removed ( http://www.clipular.com/c?3189266=jZ-VI8HzBv_6dsBKRPq6prsa9fA )by adding this:

    #top .summary-main-content.entry-content {
    display: none;
    }

    or can do it like this https://www.diigo.com/item/image/318y0/wms8

    (see my next post)

    Thanks,

    Nick

    The second is exactly what it was and what I want back ;)

    The code is CSS. Where do we need to put it?

    Thanks.

    BTW: Did you also noticed the menu alignment? That is a new one since today ;)

    Hi,

    Sorry for lack of directions. I thought my approach over and decided it would be better to do this via php so please open up in the theme folder /config-woocommerce/config.php and find line 155 that look like

    function avia_woocommerce_short_description_panel()

    and without deleting or altering line 155, paste the code below *before* line 155

    //function and filter to remove the description tab
    add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_tabs', 'yehhh_woo_remove_description_tab', 98);
    function yehhh_woo_remove_description_tab($tabs) {
    unset($tabs['shortdescription']);
    unset($tabs['description']);
    return $tabs;
    }

    <edit> I fixed the line numbers and added remove shortdescription code as well as description, if this is not what you need just remove one of the unset lines above. Thanks to both posters below.

    Yeh I noticed your menu likes to move around on its own. jquery is adding an inline float:left to it. I am not gonna bother looking where this is happening, but one of the plugins i think is responsible. Instead we will just override it (unless you prefer your menu in the second position.)

    Please add the following css block to the bottom of the /css/custom.css file; OR to Quick CSS located in the admin area – Replete > Theme Options > Styling … the text area at the bottom of that page:

    #top .main_menu {
    float: right !important;
    }

    if instead you like the look of the menu more to the left as it looks now after it moves you can add this css *just don’t add them both since the css above will be more dominant**

    #top .main_menu {
    float: left;
    }

    Thanks,

    Nick

    I looked in /config-woocommerce/config.php for lines 804-806 and my copy (Propulsion version 1.9.1) did not go that far. I ended up adding your code after line 154, which was the end of the function avia_woocommerce_short_description($tabs). I also added another line in your suggested code to remove the short description (yours only removed the description):

    unset($tabs);

    Thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction.

    Thanks Nick,

    Indeed, the file does not go further then 650 something. Putted the code at the exact same place as Cog7 (included the removal of shortdescription) and it works well.

    Added the CSS throught the Propulsion Admin section and works fine too.

    Happy Bunny!
