Hey guys...

can i change the regular black and white images on the portfolio for my own? I have a nice black and white effect that looks much better than just removing the saturation...

Hi!

No, the greyscale effect uses a canvas overlay (which is generated automatically) and you can't replace it with your custom images.

And is it possible to change the overlay to a specific Hue, so the image overlays won't be grey, but purpleish or yellowish?

Hi thisafternoon,

No not that I know of. The greyscale effect is an auto generated "greyscale" and not done by any variable manipulation.
