    hello – I’ve added a custom image to my footer in the abundance theme only the widget areas overlap the image with their own color. Please see attached image. Can you suggest how to override the default color so the custom image shows up? thanks.

    Hi sweenetoad,

    Just change your #footer custom css to:

    #footer {
    background-image: URL(yourimageurl.jpg);
    background-color: transparent;
    }

    Removing the repeat rules and position so that it full repeats over the entire visible area and the color added in by the theme is overwritten as transparent.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Thank you – the only thing left for me to figure out with this is the widget areas. Unless that was your instructions above on how to handle?

    Hi sweenetoad,

    Trying adding this to your custom.css:

    #top #footer div {
    background-color:transparent;
    }

    Thank you Mya – that did improve the footer though it’s not entirely transparent:

    Any suggestions on how to make it totally transparent? Thanks again!

    Hi,

    Replace what I listed above with this:

    #top #footer span, #top #footer div, #top #footer p, #top #footer a {
    background-color: transparent;
    }

    Regards,

    Mya
