    Hi I’d like to change the colour of my custom menu. I am using the Newscast WordPress theme. My menu is just underneath my logo. I want to make the background of the menu black and the font white. I then want to centralize the text as the text is aligned to the left.

    My website is : http://www.iBiteApples.com

    I have also read a lot in this forum about editing a custom.css file but I cant find it anywhere in the theme

    Hey,

    1) to change the font color open up css/style3.css and search for:

    .catnav li a{
    color:#111111;
    border-right:1px solid #666666;
    text-shadow:0px 0px 0px #666666;
    text-align: center;}
    }

    Replace the code with:

    .catnav li a{
    color:#fff;
    border-right:1px solid #666666;
    text-shadow:0px 0px 0px #666666;
    text-align: center;}
    }

    2) To change the background color of the head section/nav menu you need to edit the bg.png image which can be found here: http://www.ibiteapples.com/wp-content/themes/newscast/images/skin3/bg.png

    You can use the provided psd file to create an image which a black nav stripe, etc.
