custom.css does not overwrite minimal-skin.css?

Hi,

I make all my CSS changes to the custom.css, as suggested.

But if I need to change something from the minimal-skin.css (for example

#footer .news-thumb { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 ##a0918a; }

and write my changes in the custom.css, they have no effect.

They have only effect, if I change them directly in the minimal-skin.css.

Does the custom.css not overwrite minimal-skin.css?

Hey,
custom.css should overwrite everything with some exceptions. Most of the time adding !important to your line works.
Try
#footer .news-thumb { background: none repeat scroll 0 0 ##a0918a !important; }
