i’m a web designer helping my client out with the upscale theme and i’m trying to make some modifications.
we are trying to make the thumbs at the bottom of the home page link to their respective pages (the pages where the text below link). i removed the magnifying glass icon and i think i know how to get rid of the lightbox, but can’t seem to find how to change the links. it just opens into it’s own page with the image after i remove the lightbox.
1. remind me how to get rid of the lightbox
2. tell me how to change the links so that they go where we want (how to customize the links for those images)
anything i’ve read hasn’t worked.
also, many of the threads i’ve been reading refer to a css file that i don’t have. i’m assuming that all the changes need to be made from the avia.js file, correct?
thanks so muchSeptember 1, 2011 at 1:18 pm #51298
could you be more specific about which thumbnails? A screenshot or a link could help. The avia.js file shouldn’t be altered to fix your issue but I can only be certain once I know what exactly you’re talking about.September 2, 2011 at 9:46 pm #51299
here is a link to the site, although whenever i try to pull this up, it makes me login to wordpress.
if you can’t get in, let me know, or else let me know how to attach a screen shot?
thanks.September 4, 2011 at 8:07 pm #51300
also, it’s the upscale theme. and it’s the thumbnails that sit in the columns underneath the slider on the home page. they typically have the magnifying glass hover effect and then they open in a lightbox. i have removed the magnifying glass, want to remove the lightbox link, and want to give them custom links.
still can’t figure out how to attach a screen shot to my post and i don’t think you’ll be able to view the site without the login info. let me know though. thanks!September 5, 2011 at 2:28 pm #51301
Excuse me for the delayed response,
I’d really need at least a screenshot – you can upload an image at image hosts like imageshack.us and post the link here. Can you also send me the login info? You can mail me through chris at wehavewebfun dot com.September 8, 2011 at 2:15 am #51302September 12, 2011 at 9:21 pm #51303
