How do you customized the right hand side bar to different pages? For example, on my portfolio page, i would like to list different links to other portfolios and archives. Under service page, I will like to have related topics and images linked to portfolios.
I was browsing for examples of websites built on Flashlight before I bought the template thinking I could do the same. But now I am a lost as I can only put up different widgets on the right bar but not change the content.
One of the sites that I saw was http://www.lotsdesign.se
Can someone help me please?June 21, 2012 at 6:24 am #79376
You can use plugins like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ if you want to set different widgets for specific posts. In addition you can create new page/category specific widget areas – go to Flagship > Theme Options > Sidebar and use the dropdown to select the page/category and the plus symbol to create new areas.June 21, 2012 at 10:32 am #79377
Thank you so much. I have managed to create a customized sidebar with new widgets but it continued with all the page templates….
How can I remove that? And also, the when i put in the horizontal separation line, it just showed a little lightning? The portfolio widget also extended beyond the bar, is there some error?
Hope you can help me with this – http://www.pulpbyte.com/our-mandate

I believe the Pages widget is being added in from the widget area Sidebar Pages or Displayed Everywhere. You’ll need to remove that widget from there if it is.
To fix the width of the newsbox, Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:
