I have a few questions:
1. I’d like to remove the hover shape/color from the social media icons. Could you direct me to that code?
2. Is there a way to remove the white triangle hover over portfolio links on the homepage and portfolio pages? I’d love to keep the grey-to-color fade, but hide the white overlay.
3. I’d like to hide the previous and next entries row, but can’t seem to get the code to work in my custom.css.
4. Finally, I added a “Recent Posts” widget to the footer, but grey icons (pencil and paper, picture icon) appear next to the post. Is there a way for these images to pull an image from the blog post to appear in the footer?
Many thanks–such great work!
I figured out all but #4, though I believe I understand how/why it works this way. I am interested in the small icon represented with an image, even though the post is not classified as an image/gallery/etc. with a featured image.
For #4, the image previews come from setting an image in the featured media meta box under the visual editor. Adding a single image to it will set that image as the featured image for the post and will then be used for the icons and previews for the post.
Thanks for the reply. Is it possible to make the featured image for the post optional (but keep the image icon/preview)? The featured image in the post looks fantastic, but I’m not sure I always want a large image above the post.
